Refund, Cancellation, Solicitation, and Facility Use Policies

REFUND POLICIES
Programs are self-supporting and commitments need to be made to instructors and staff. The following are the Department’s refund policies:
- Refunds will only be given if requested 1 week prior to the program start date, with a fee of $5.00 per program cancellation. All requests for refunds must be made in writing the to the Parks and Recreation Department. (parksandrec@burlingtonct.gov)
- No refunds will be given for any unused portion of a program. Fees are not pro-rated.
- Foote Road Camp Refund- All requests for refunds will be subject to a $40 refund fee per child per week. All requests for a refund must be made 1 week prior to the start of camp.
- In the event of an injury or illness of the program participant less than one week before a program begins, a full refund will be processed if accompanied by a doctor’s note stating that the participant cannot participate due injury/illness during the dates of the program This only applies to the injured participant, and not any siblings who may also be registered in the same program.
- If a program is cancelled by the Burlington Parks and Recreation Department, a full refund will be issued.
